knee replacement surgery

Sharing here a case study of a 72-year-old female with severe degenerative arthritis in both knees, treated successfully with knee replacement.

Walking with both knees bent, as she already had Rheumatoid Arthritis and curvature in her spine, unable to walk without support and with a waking aid stick.
She came to me with all these complaints with both knees in fixed flexion deformity of 30 degrees
She was advised to undergo both knee replacements in the same sitting.
She was told by people in her hometown that if they gets operated on, she won’t be able to walk ever again

We explained everything and told her to trust us, and we will make her walk the next day in the morning with a walker, and in the next 4 days, she will be walking without support.

We did her knee replacement surgery in Indore in the same sitting and had her walk the very next day with support and a walker
Discharged her, and she went back
She was advised to undergo physiotherapy daily for 3 weeks
3 weeks later, on suture removal, she was walking without support and nicely
